Prenatal Massage 101: An Introductory Workshop

Two day workshop (14 hrs.)

Start your prenatal massage therapy education with a solid theoretical and practical foundation.

Introductory Course

Engaging lectures, discussion, and guided practice will help you to adapt your own protocols and techniques to meet normal pregnancy concerns. This basic prenatal massage therapy course covers the essentials you need when a woman with a normal, low-risk pregnancy seeks stress and pain reduction through massage therapy.

Curriculum
Tour the pregnant body learning normal prenatal anatomical and physiological adaptations
Gestate your understanding of the physical, emotional, and practical concerns of typical expectant women
Learn positioning, precautions, contraindications and recommendations for safe prenatal massage therapy
Practice a full body prenatal session in the sidelying and in the semi-reclining position

Cost & Terms of Enrollment

Prerequisites

Designed for all massage and bodywork students and practitioners seeking the theoretical understanding to safely adapt their own protocols and techniques to pregnancy's demands.

CE Hours

14 classroom hours. Receive 14 CE hours (1.4 CEU credits with NCBTMB) with attendance and satisfactory participation in the class activities.

Class usually meets 9 AM to 5 PM each day.

Tuition investment:

$345, if registration received one month in advance; $395 thereafter.
